Healios Founder, Chairman and CEO, Richard Andrews, has been appointed to the board of the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network. Richard’s new role is the Independent Sector Representative, and joins Catherine Roche, Chief Executive from Place2Be, who has been appointed as the new Third Sector Representative.
The Mental Health Network of the NHS Confederation is the voice for NHS funded mental health and learning disability service providers in England and promotes excellence in mental health services and the importance of good mental health.
Richard said about his appointment, “This is a great honour and wonderful to be accepted into the Mental Health Network. It’s an incredibly exciting time for mental health services in this country, there is now considerable appetite, momentum and funding to transform services for tomorrow’s society. I’m looking forward to contributing to the Network’s exceptional work. We are driving change in national mental health policy and spreading best practice, to ensure anyone in the country can access the right high quality care, whenever they need it.”
Sean Duggan, Chief Executive of Mental Health Network said, “We’re really excited to have Richard join our board. As the NHS Long Term Plan places greater emphasis on digital, and as digital will be one of the biggest opportunities and challenges for mental health services in this country, Richard brings a unique perspective to the broad through his experience of developing and implementing innovative digital mental health services across the country.”
