Healios presents positive preliminary dementia results at national conference

Richard Andrews, Founder and Chairman of Healios, will present at a national Dementia conference in Manchester, UK, on 27th April 2016. Exciting preliminary results of Healios’ intervention show the impact of improving family quality of life, social function and ability to care for a loved one with dementia.

The study evaluated the value and feasibility of online clinician-led intervention, which builds on Healios’ experience, evidence and learnings from transforming mental health services across the UK.

The national conference, ‘Dementia: Quality of Care’, brings together leading organisations focused on designing better quality and more effective dementia services across England. Latest developments and emerging models of care for dementia will contribute to wider thinking and debate amongst leading health and social care professionals, academia and the wider public.

Richard Andrews, said “We are excited with these early stage results and the impact our service is having on families. Having personally experienced a loved one suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, we are thrilled to have designed a service built around the needs of the families caring for someone with dementia, that makes it easy to access from the comfort of home, and fundamentally improves their lives.”
