Online support for children and young people
Healios is a leading digital provider of mental health, autism and ADHD services for children and young people aged 25 and under.
We believe your family should be able to access quality care when it’s needed. That’s why we’ve paired an expert team with the right technology so your child can access the support and information they need quickly through interactive video sessions.
Working with the NHS, we delivered more than 25,000 sessions in 2020 alone. With our help, you can gain a better understanding of what your child needs to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
Mental health services
At Healios, we know no two children or young people are the same. We tailor our sessions around each individual to ensure they receive comprehensive person-centred care.
Understanding their needs
Many children and young people begin their Healios journey with a mental health assessment. During this online session, we’ll work with you and your child to gain a better understanding of what they have been struggling with and try to identify if there’s a particular mental health challenge involved, such as anxiety, low mood or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Continuing support
If your child continues their journey with Healios, they’ll receive personalised therapy. This could involve Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help them make sense of and work on their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, or Goal Based Intervention (GBI) to improve their emotional coping skills, boost resilience and achieve their goals.
Autism and ADHD services
Autism and ADHD affect different people in different ways. Our autism and ADHD services are delivered in a highly personalised way for the best possible experience and outcome.
Understanding their needs
Our clinicians assess children and young people for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) using gold-standard assessment tools. Your child’s appointments will take place online, making it easier to attend if they are anxious about spending time with new people, have sensory sensitivities or feel more comfortable at home.
Continuing support
Receiving an autism or ADHD diagnosis can have a big impact on everyday life. In some areas, we can offer post-diagnostic support to help children, young people and their families understand and manage the consequences of a diagnosis. These sessions can be used to discuss issues like sleep difficulties, socialising and adapting your home to suit your child’s needs.
