Right to Choose

Your right to choose autism assessments

Right to Choose autism assessments

Healios accept referrals for online autism assessments under the NHS Right to Choose framework for children and young people (age 7+) and adults. Please note, our ability to support referrals is dependent on local ICB policies. However, we’ll always explain the next steps clearly if local arrangements affect your referral.

Right to Choose autism assessments wait times

For children and young people (age 7+), our current autism assessment waiting time is up to 6 months. For adults, our current autism assessment waiting time is up to 12 months.

How will I know if you've received my Right to Choose referral?

As soon as your GP submits the Right to Choose referral to Healios, we’ll send an automated confirmation email to you and your GP outlining the next steps. This will include how you can activate your Healios account and complete any required forms. However, if you have not received this email within a few days, we recommend you check your junk or spam folder, or reach out to Healios directly. Please check with your GP first, that they have completed the referral to Healios.
