How we evidence impact
For commissioned services, we agree on a set of measures at the start of delivery, then report them in formats and a cadence agreed with each partner. In line with reporting requirements, data is submitted to the Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS), ensuring compliance and transparency while enabling commissioners and NHS partners to monitor performance and plan future provision with confidence.
Where applicable, we may also support partner reporting requirements, including:
- Activity and throughput data (e.g., referrals, appointments, completion rates)
- Clinical outcomes and experience measures
- Waiting list and backlog impact (e.g., time to assessment / time to report)
- Access insights for different groups and geographies
Delivering outcomes for the NHS
We will work with you to:
- Reduce waiting lists and backlogs for autism, ADHD and mental health assessments and support
- Create additional capacity and improve access, including for rural, remote or underserved communities
- Evidence impact clearly, with agreed reporting that supports service reviews, boards and commissioning discussions
Clinical outcomes
Where outcomes tools are agreed and in use, Healios reports clinical outcome measures alongside clinical judgement and local context.
Healios consistently achieves positive clinical outcomes, with 87% of children and young people reporting improved wellbeing and resilience.
Validated measures may include tools such as RCADS, SDQ, YPCORE, FFT and ESQ supporting evidence-informed care aligned with NICE guidance.
Our data consistently evidences high levels of improvement within Routine Outcome Measures (ROMs), reflecting the effectiveness of our interventions.
- 90% reported progress to their goals
- 72% reported improvement to their RCADS47 score
- 67% reported improvement to their SDQ
Feedback from customers
NHS partners highlight professionalism, responsiveness and integration into local pathways. Contract review meetings and structured reporting support ongoing dialogue about delivery and improvement.
Improving access
Healios enhances access through a secure digital platform that reduces travel, supports flexible appointment delivery and removes traditional barriers to care, helping extend reach to rural and hard-to-reach communities.
Where measured, partners may track:
- Time from referral to first appointment
- Time from referral to assessment or written report
- Activity delivered within agreed timeframes to reduce assessment and treatment backlogs
- Did not attend (DNA) rates
Feedback from clients
Client feedback indicates high satisfaction, with over 90% stating they would recommend Healios.
Families commonly value empathetic clinicians, the comfort of virtual sessions and clearer communication about assessment processes.
What we measure
Depending on the service and what is agreed locally, reporting may include:
- Activity and throughput (e.g., referrals received, accepted/redirected, appointments started/completed, attendance/non-attendance)
- Outcomes and experience (where tools are in use)
- Waiting times and access (where these measures are agreed and reliable)
Any statements about waiting time improvements should be supported by agreed data.
How we share data with NHS partners
Data and insight are shared in formats agreed with each partner. This may include:
- Regular dashboards or summary reports
- Structured data tables for local analysis
- Written commentary to put results into context
Where helpful, Healios can work with local information or analytics teams so our data can be combined with local datasets.
Examples from real partnerships
To keep this page general, we do not include detailed site-wide figures here. Instead:
- Selected narratives are shared on our Case studies page
More specific outcomes are included within partner reports and documents
Questions NHS partners often ask about outcomes and impact
How does Healios measure impact for NHS partners?
Healios agrees a set of activity and routine outcome measures (ROMS) with each partner at the start of a service, then reports them regularly in formats that support local performance and assurance discussions. All clinical sessions include built-in rating functionality, which is completed directly by the service user and/or family.
What outcomes does Healios track for autism, ADHD and mental health services?
Reporting usually focuses on activity, waiting times and routine outcome measures. It may also include specific outcomes or experience measures, depending on the pathway and tools in use.
Can Healios support board and commissioning discussions?
Yes. Data from Healios can be structured and summarised so it can be used alongside local data in board papers, service reviews and commissioning discussions.
How does Healios handle data quality and completeness?
Healios applies processes to support accurate and consistent data capture. Where there are limitations (e.g., small sample sizes or incomplete data), these are highlighted when sharing results with partners.
