We are currently accepting Right to Choose autism assessment referrals for children (7+) and young people, with faster access to first appointments.
As availability is limited, we encourage families to speak to their GP and request they submit a GP referral here.

Right to Choose autism assessments
Healios accept referrals for online autism assessments under the NHS Right to Choose framework for children and young people (age 7+) and adults. Please note, our ability to support referrals is dependent on local ICB policies.
Right to Choose autism assessment wait times
For children and young people (age 7+), our current autism assessment waiting time is up to 6 months. For adults, our current autism assessment waiting time is up to 12 months.
RTC referral process
GPs in England can complete the Healios online referral form using the link below. Once we receive the referral we will contact the patient and GP to confirm the referral and update on the next steps.
Additional support
GPs or local NHS services can also advise on alternative options available.

How long is the Right to Choose waiting list?
- Children and young people (aged 7+): up to 6 months
- Adults: up to 12 months
Our aim is to keep waiting times as short as possible. Once your referral is received, we’ll keep you updated on how it is progressing.
Are you an eligible Right to Choose provider?
- Autism assessments for adults and children aged 7+
- ADHD assessments for patients living in Herefordshire and Worcestershire
How will I know if you've received my Right to Choose referral?
Will my Right to Choose assessment be remote or face to face?
Adults
- ADHD and autism assessments are completed online.
Children and young people (aged 7 to 18)
- ADHD assessments include one face-to-face appointment at our Hereford or Bromsgrove clinic, followed by one online appointment.
- Autism assessments are completed online.
All online appointments are delivered via secure video calls.
Where a face-to-face appointment is required and you are unable, or do not wish, to travel to Hereford or Bromsgrove, we will not be able to accept the referral.
